Course Name: 'First Baby'

Who can enrol?
This course is for people who meet all the following criteria:

• live in Christchurch, New Zealand
• are first time mothers or first time fathers
• are in late pregnancy (last 3 months)
• have a midwife registered with Tender Shoot™

What is involved?
There are two parts to this course (click to see the promotional flier):
      a) a one-off group session       
      b) three personalised follow-on sessions (phone calls and a home visit)
The group sessions are held on a Saturday morning from 9:50 a.m. to 12 noon. The follow-on sessions are regular conversations to support a confident start during your baby's first 6-8 weeks. This is on a 'you call us' basis to initiate the contact. There is no charge.

What is covered?
The course takes a hands-on approach to a baby’s first weeks from holding, dressing and comforting to cues, cries and sleep with practical ways to provide for a baby's emotional needs. Click here for the course flier.

From the course schedule opposite, identify a preferred date for your group session that has spaces available.
