Why have we started this school?We have started this school to support parents, respect children and strengthen families. It is our way to place a high value on parenthood, childhood and family life. Today’s parents face challenges not known to any other generation. Information is not knowledge and choice is not power. Parents are feeling powerless and confused just when they most need to be confident and clear. We believe in parents. We believe they hold the future in their arms, guide its development, shape its values, nourish its hope. A community that supports its parents, respects its children. Tender Shoot™ is the first ever school for parents. We hope that one day their will be parent schools everywhere and all parents will have opportunities to learn and understand their changing child.
